The red flags: what caps a grade

A few things are serious enough that no amount of good work elsewhere should hide them. They do not cost points; they put a ceiling on the grade, the way a failed brake test fails an MOT regardless of the paintwork.

There are four: no padlock at all caps the grade at F. A padlock about to expire, or a company shown at Companies House as dissolved or with overdue filings, caps it at D. Trackers running with no privacy policy caps it at C. Each is written out in the report when it applies, with the fix.

The report says plainly when a flag applies. Companies House is public if you want to check the filing dates yourself.

How to fix it

  1. Fix the flagged item first; everything else in the report waits behind it.
The technical version, for your web person

caps[]. A separate array in the evidence, not ledger rows: cap_https (F), cap_cert (D), cap_ch_status (D), cap_privacy_trackers (C). A cap ceilings the grade; it never deducts points.
