YLB Score › The checks, explained › Part I, Can people find you?
You are not answering the questions people ask
People ask search engines and AI assistants real questions: how much does this cost, do you do evenings, do you take card. A page that answers a handful of them, marked up so a machine knows they are questions and answers, is the easiest way to be the one quoted back.
Most local businesses have the answers already. They are in the emails you send every week.

How to fix it
- Write six to ten questions customers genuinely ask, with a short honest answer to each.
- Put them on the homepage or a page of their own, and have your web person mark them up as questions and answers.
- Keep them true. An answer that is out of date is worse than none.
The technical version, for your web person
FAQPage. A FAQPage object with mainEntity Question and acceptedAnswer pairs. Google has narrowed which sites get the rich result, but the markup still feeds answer engines.
What the check reads. One of the parsed @types is FAQPage.
This is one of the checks in a YLB Score report. Every report is free, read by a person before it goes out, and written so that you can act on it without us. Ask for yours.
