YLB Score › The checks, explained › Part III, Will a stranger trust you?
Channels linked from your pages
A link to an active profile or two tells a stranger the business is alive this month, and gives them a second place to check you out. Four is full marks; one is a start.
Only link what you actually keep up. A profile last updated in 2019 says the opposite of what you intend.

See for yourself
Look at your own footer. Which profiles are linked, and when did you last post on each?
How to fix it
- Link the profiles you keep active, in the footer of every page.
- Remove links to any you have abandoned.
The technical version, for your web person
social links. Links to Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, X, YouTube or TikTok. Each distinct platform is a quarter of the mark, up to four.
What the check reads. Anchor hrefs matched against 7 known platform domains (Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, X/Twitter, YouTube, TikTok); pillar score = min(count/4, 1), a raw ratio with no per-link point value.
This is one of the checks in a YLB Score report. Every report is free, read by a person before it goes out, and written so that you can act on it without us. Ask for yours.
